Terms

The software

The OpenCourse app, the catalog server and this website are open source under the MIT License. They are provided as is, without warranty of any kind.

The public catalog, catalog.opencourse.dev

By creating an account on the public catalog you agree to these terms.

  • Your courses and documents are yours. You keep the rights to what you publish. By publishing, you allow the catalog to store it and to offer it to anyone, free, for learning with OpenCourse.
  • Publish only what you may share. Do not publish material you do not have the rights to, or anything illegal, hateful, harassing, deceptive or harmful.
  • Moderation. The maintainers may remove a course or document from the catalog, telling its publisher why, and may disable accounts that break these terms. Learners who already downloaded content keep their local copy. To report a course, see the legal notice.
  • Be kind to the service. No automated abuse, scraping beyond the public API's reasonable use, or attempts to break its security. Report vulnerabilities privately through GitHub.
  • No guarantee. The catalog is run in good faith, for free, and may change or stop. Keep your own copies of what you publish.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version is published here with a new date. Questions go to contact@opencourse.dev.
